#RakshaBandhan or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To commemorate this festival ,A Rakhi Making Activity was organised for the students of Grade LKG to Grade 5 .The activity began with the discussion about the festival ‘Rakshabandhan’. The significance and the manner in which it is celebrated was discussed with the children.The students were guided to decorate the Rakhi using decorative materials e.g. mirrors, sequins, glitters etc., under the guidance of the teachers. Students made beautiful Rakhis using different articles like silken thread, ribbon, etc. Their aesthetic sense was quite fascinating. Children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side.

Class 2 children made it more meaningful by tying rakhi to the trees and tried to establish a bond of love between them and nature. They were taught about the importance of trees and nature in our lives. The idea was to make them responsible humans who take care of their environment and save Mother Nature by being more sensitive and sensible towards it. For more details
