Road safety is a most common and important topic and has been added to various fields
like education, social awareness etc., in order to bring more awareness among school students. Road safety is an issue that affects everyone in India. We all need to use the roads to get around- to school, to work, to the hospitals, to the shops, to the cinema. Most of us use the roads every day, as drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians, and for many people driving is the main part of their job. SPC (Student Police Cadets) students of D.A.V. Police Public School visited Traffic Tower DCP East Gurugram on 14/12/2022.Students were made aware about road safety rules and various traffic signs found on road side were explained through Presentation and videos. Sh. Virender Singh Sangwan, HPS (DCP Traffic), Sh. Ashok Kumar, HPS (ACP traffic East) and Sh. Shiv Archan, HPS (ACP Traffic Highway) interacted with the SPC students in his office and answer all the queries and questions asked by students related to the road safety and traffic Rules. All SPC Students were very happy to receive so fruitful information related to road safety measures as the tools to save from the expensive traffic fines, serious offences, removal of driving licenses, Pedestrians rules of walking on the road like proper use of crosswalks, use of zebra crossing, etc. Effective road safety education will give students an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to help them make informed and safer decisions in traffic and traffic environments.
