On July 9, 2024, DAV Police Public School in Gurugram hosted a session for Class XII students on careers in the armed forces, led by Colonel Rakesh Yadav and retired Colonel Sandeep Singh.

The session covered the daily routine of officers and highlighted career benefits like job stability, work-life balance, and personal and professional development. The process of joining the armed forces, including the three-step exam, SSB interview, and medical examination, was explained for both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Students learned about the SSB's three-pronged assessment approach: Group Testing Officer (GTO) tasks, psychological tests, and personal interviews. The importance of self-awareness, self-regulation, communication skills, social awareness, and responsible decision-making was emphasized.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, providing students the chance to clarify doubts and gain further insights from the experienced officers.
