DAVPPS Students Honored by Commissioner of Police for Outstanding Sporting Achievements

In a remarkable ceremony held on 30th January, the students of DAV Police Public School had the privilege of meeting the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Vikas Arora, to celebrate their exceptional accomplishments in various sporting events. The event, graced by esteemed figures including school Principal Ms. Nancy Sharma, witnessed the felicitation of outstanding athletes by the commissioner himself.

Leading the entourage were two sports teachers including, HOD Mr. Neerad and TGT Mr. Pankaj, whose dedicated mentorship has nurtured these budding talents. The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition bestowed upon the students who clinched gold and silver medals in prestigious national competitions. DAVPPS emerged victorious across multiple disciplines, securing an impressive tally of 21 gold and 20 silver medals in the All India DAV National Championships. Additionally, at the CBSE Nationals, DAVPPS continued their winning streak with gold in archery and multiple silver and bronze medals across various track and field events. The School Games Federation of India (SGFI) also witnessed DAVPPS students claiming silver and bronze medals in track events and archery, while the Equestrian National Championship showcased DAVPPS's excellence with three gold medals in team horse riding and individual gold and silver medal triumphs. 

These achievements underscored DAVPPS's commitment to holistic development and excellence in sports, marking yet another milestone in its illustrious journey in the realm of sports. Principal Ms. Nancy Sharma expressed her pride in the students' accomplishments.
