A workshop on Drama and Theatre was conducted today for students from Grades III to XII, especially for those interested in theatre and dramatics. The session was attended by both the English and Hindi departments. The resource person, Mr. Gaurav Kumar, Theatre Professional was welcomed by primary school coordinator Ms. Mamta Solanki.
The session began with a calming meditation activity, creating a focused and positive environment. Students and teachers enthusiastically shared their experiences, expressing how the activity helped them connect with their thoughts and emotions.
Mr. Gaurav Kumar introduced the concept of acting through interactive discussion and engaging questions. He explained the key tools of acting—observation, listening, and mannerisms—in a very effective manner. Various fun-filled activities and concentration games were conducted, where students actively participated and enjoyed learning. Simple yet impactful exercises helped them understand the importance of focus, expression, and coordination.
